We stand on the precipice.

This well written post from a friend of liberty on facebook:

"The death of Internet privacy, contract law and the separation of corporation and state hang in the balance. CISPA passed the House today by 288 - 127. It moves on the Senate next. Please contact your legislators now and let them know you OPPOSE CISPA. It takes 2 minutes.

“CISPA creates an exception to all privacy laws to permit companies to share our information with each other and with the government in the name of cybersecurity. Although a carefully-crafted information sharing program that strictly limits the information to be shared and includes robust privacy safeguards could be an effective approach to cybersecurity, CISPA lacks such protections for individual rights. CISPA’s information sharing regime allows the transfer of vast amounts of data, including sensitive information like Internet records or the content of emails to any agency in the government including military and intelligence agencies like the National Security Agency or the Department of Defense Cyber Command.” ” -T.M.

This post look too long? Tough. It’s important. Possibly dangerous to even post.

A few people have been asking my opinion on the horrific events in Boston. I’ve been waiting, sifting through the data. Trying to cut through the knee-jerk reactions of conspiracy theories, government explanations (there aren’t any) and typical media-misdirection. It is clear to me though that serious questions are rising.

First off, I want to make it clear that I believe the Boston Victims are real. Americans were hit by that bomb. They died and some are still suffering now. It was not Hollywood, it was not staged.

Lt. Col. Potter has the most insightful statement I’ve seen so far. Watch the vid.
These are the questions surrounding the event:

Who is responsible?

Why did it happen on that day?

Why the story shift when operatives were spotted via online picture uploads?

Why announce the arrest of a “right-wing extremist” and then deny it?

Why did propagandist reveal he was ordered to make a campaign implicating a right-wing NRA member who makes ammo from home?

Why Announce a mass-casualty drill on the loud speakers of the race and then deny that the drill ever took place?

Why did Obama meet with the Saudi Prince and agree to deport the saudi “suspect”?

Potter plugs infowars.com. That site, ran by Alex Jones, gets hokey and way out there sometimes. A lot of times it’s bull. However, they are the ones who broke this story. It did create ripples in the Washington story. There are a LOT of important events happening this month.

Poor Richard's News: UN passes international arms regulation

The United Nations passed sweeping regulations today that aims to control the international trade of weaponry, from tanks to hand guns. There is debate as to whether a treaty such as this trumps the Constitution in areas where the two might conflict (specifically the 2nd amendment) but the…

Poor Richard’s News is probably my favorite blog on Tumblr. Always clear and to the point with good perspective.

Global Gun Control Bill Passed By UN

"A former version of the treaty was reviewed by world-famous constitutional and international law expert Dr. Michael Farris, which we published here. Dr. Farris is a constitutional lawyer, has argued before the US Supreme Court, and has an LLM in international law from the University of London. He explains in simple terms: “[The treaty] is aimed not only at arms dealers—it is aimed at every “end user” of firearms. Yes, that means gun owners like you and me.”

The Treaty is NOT Just For “Criminals”

The claim, given by the UN itself, is that the treaty is only for criminals and won’t violate the rights of the law abiding. This, of course, is a pure lie. There’s no way to magically “stop criminals” from getting guns without regulating people like us with registration.”

The BBC Article [bullshit]

Whatsoever therefore is consequent to a time of war, where every man is enemy to every man, the same consequent to the time wherein men live without other security than what their own strength and their own invention shall furnish them withal. In such condition there is no place for industry… no knowledge of the face of the earth; no account of time; no arts; no letters; no society; and which is worst of all, continual fear, and danger of violent death; and the life of man, solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.
